It is also required that the adapter module (i.e. 1734-AENT) be placed into a Listen-Only-Rack Optimization Connection.
Listen-Only Connection: An I/O connection where another controller owns/provides the configuration data for the module. A controller using a listen only connection does not write configuration. It can only establish a connection to the module where the owner controller is actually controlling. Controllers have to have direct connection to the module first before other racks can establish listen only connections.
