The Security feature allows you to control the individual users’ access to RSLogix 5000 projects and controllers. Using RSI Security Server software, you control access to your projects and controllers based on:
- the individual user logged into a workstation
- the project the user is attempting to access
- the workstation from which the user is attempting to access the project
Typically, you would use RSI Security Server software to grant or deny permission to perform a particular action on a particular project to a particular person at a particular workstation.
Note: The security feature is primarily intended to prevent accidental unauthorized access to your projects and controllers. It is important to note that while the feature does provide some protection against intentional unauthorized access, it is not intended to provide protection against sophisticated system "hackers." You should exercise your own additional precautions against such unwanted access.
RSI Security Server grants or denies access based on four pieces of information:
- user ID (i.e., the user’s login name)
- workstation ID
- action name (i.e., the activity the user is trying to perform, such as data table modification, or processor mode change)
- resource name (i.e., controller name)
In addition, you can group resources, actions, persons, and workstations via access control lists, which define certain characteristics to determine access levels.

When used with RSLogix 5000, RSI Security Server supports 3 global actions and 6 project-related actions. Global actions are not tied to a specific project, and may include:
- securing the controller
- creating a new project (either through the New Controller dialog, or through the Translator Tool utility)
- updating your firmware.
The project-related actions allow you to perform specific tasks on a specific project or group of projects, and may include:
- viewing a project
- going online

- full access (e.g., editing a project), unsecuring the controller, or updating firmware.
Note: Access to these actions is hierarchical. For instance, if you have access to the Go Online action, you also have access to the View Project action; if you have access to the Maintain Project action, you can also access Go Online and View Project; and finally, if you have Full Access, you can access Maintain Project, Go Online, and View Project.
Defining your levels of security begins with deciding the type of access you want to allow to each user, project, or workstation. The following tables can help you to identify your security needs.

Всё, разобрался. Оказывается надо сначала ControlNet Bridge прописать, а затем откроются дополнительные модуля. :!:

Дано: RSLogix 5000 v13 Standart Edition
Есть желание добавить ControlNet adapter 1771, но вот в списке модулей его нет.
Это ограничение версии, или надо немного потанцевать с бубном :) ?

Что мне не нравится в ME, SE - зависимость от версии.
Пример: у наших клиентов есть МЕ версий 1.5, 2, 3.20 - благо что все работает, а если придется выезжать на обслуживание... :o
Сейчас использую 4.00
В RSLogix 5K есть возможность иметь несколько версий.
В новый PanelView Standard можно грузить приложения сделанные для предыдущих версий.
А вообще сравнивать надо так:
- PanelView Standard - RSViewME PanelView+, VersaView CE
- RSView32 - RSView SE stand alone (RSView32 богаче по возможностям).
- RSView32+ADS - RSView SE disribuited (здесь RSView32 проигрывает, но к ADS можно иметь бесплатного клиента...)

RS Emulate 5000 бесплатно не качается и не раздаётся. Но RSTestStand Lite можно получить. Свяжитесь, пожалуйста, с одним из наших офисов в Тольятти, Самаре или Ярославле.

Помогите осознать причины глюка инсталляции RSLogix5000 после переустановки виндов(XP SP1) на машинке.В ходе setup имеем сообщение Unable to access RSLogix5000 Module Profiles,завершение процесса установки и логфайл следующего содержания(привожу только последние строки):

Может у кого есть мысли по этому поводу?

Работал контроллер и перестал видеть "заднюю шину". Перепрошил с 13 версии на 11 и обратно на 13, все заработало. Через некоторое вермя ситуация повторилась, но теперь перепрошить не могу, ругается на отсутствие связи после инициализации процедуры перепрошивки.

Выключаю питание, включаю, все как и было.
В результате, у меня есть контроллер исправный, но не рабочий и ничего сделать с ним не могу.
Может быть есть у кого-ть идеи по этому поводу?

Добавляю data server RSLinx Enterprise в проект (RSView SE stand-alone), создаю shortcut для которого выбираю offline tag file RSLogix 5000 (*.acd).
В документации по RSView писано, что для каждого shortcut в Tag Browser есть папки Online и Offline - их я и не вижу, как не вижу и offline тегов.
Далее в той же документации писано: "For details about browsing offline for tags or adding symbols to a shortcut in RSLinx
Enterprise, see the RSLinx Enterprise Help."
Подскажите, пожалуйста, что не так. И если можно киньте ссылочку на этот RSLinx Enterprise Help.
