 Проблема была в том, что RSLogix5000 у нас был версии 20.03. Ключевое здесь - это .03. Как нам объяснили в Rockwell (Москва) версии пакетов с таким индексом особо защищены и корректно работают, только со своими версиями контроллеров. У нас стоял SoftLogix 20.01.
Взяли RSLogix5000 20.00 и всё правильно заработало

Двигатель 4кВт, примерно 8А
40M-F8E-C10 - Мотор-автомат 6.3-10А
193-ED1DP - Тепловое реле для 100-K, 3.2-16А
100-K12KF10 - Миниконтакторы 100-K, 12А
Биметаллические теплухи ставятся в номинал.
Автоматы, которые я использую последние лет 10, выбираются х1,5 - х2 в зависимости от условий.
Мотор-автоматы дороже, использую редко, опыта мало.
Электронные реле перегрузки ещё не использовал, но по докам, выходит, что они, как и биметаллические, тоже моделируют тепловой режим обмоток двигателя, при этом не зависят от тем-ры окр.среды.
По идее, если судить по докам, мотор-автомат выбирается по номиналу мощности. Так-же, читая документацию на 40M-... , до конца не уверен, что правильно понял: данные автоматы обеспечивают функции теплового реле/нет?

На грузоподъёмных механизмах иные приоритеты - там редко спасают двикатели, чаще людей и грузы. Поэтому там практически никогда не ставят ни тепловые реле, ни мотор-автоматы, а используют плавкие вставки.
Считается, что лучше лебёдка с двигателем на 2-х фазах более-менее плавно опустит груз на последнем издыхании, нежели сразу отключившись рухнет вниз. Тормоза, они такие тормоза.

maintain changes made by another workstation. A heartbeat thread

following a power cycle (or pull/redrop), the server opens an

an image to run, the SL5KServer should be online.
Every 10 seconds, a thread in the engine asks the server if it is
still online. If it is not, then the engine turns the battery
LED ON (RED) and sends a command to the server to ask it to try
to go online. If the battery LED was not already ON, it also
logs a battery fault. If communications are just busy, the LED
may go RED and then when the comm thread has more time, it may
eventually turn green again. This thread checks every 10 seconds
even if persistent storage save is disabled, since a save will
still occur at powerdown.
Every time interval, the thread referenced above in the engine
will also ask the SL5KServer to perform a save.
Following this, it should be clear that anything that would cause
RSLogix 5000 to go offline will also cause the SL5KServer to go
offline (and hence turn the battery LED RED). A few
possibilities:
Comm thread in engine not responding for 32 seconds.
Any RSLinx communication problem (including a crash).
Loss of communications with the engine.
Loss of correlation.
In addition to these possibilities, the following cases will also
cause a RED LED:
Fatal exception in SL5KServer (including RSLogix 5000
support DLLs).
Any serious error that occurs in the save of the archive:
hard disk errors, insufficient disk space, etc.[/quote:fcf93e2f17]

Здравствуйте все!
На компьютере, где развёрнут SoftLogix установлено:
1) Windows 7 Prof SP1 64 bit Рус.
2) RSLinx 3.51 Запущен драйвер VirtualBackPlane
3) SoftLogix V20.01
4) DEP settings set it to 'Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only'
При первоначальной загрузке программы в SoftLogix загорается красным Battery Fault, что говорит об ошибке "Persistent Storage Fault". Эта ошибка не даёт выгружать программу из SoftLogix и не позваляет стартовать с сохранённой программой.
Как с этим побороться, есть свежие идеи?

140M-F8E-C10 обеспечивает:
branch-circuit and short-circuit magnetic protection

Ставить/нет дополнительно на пускатель 100-K12KF10 электронное тепловое реле 193-ED1DP?

Всё правильно, Logix CPU Security Tool не работает с контроллерами версии v21.

все в норме комуникация тоже работает. В Logix CPU Security Tool вибираю контролер 1756-L71 и когда нажимаю OK видает эту ошибку.

Но без проблем софт от Rockwell работает под VMWare, под другими работоспособность негарантирована.
